This concentrates systemic risk across the entire AI infrastructure financing chain onto a single publicly listed company. The more likely reality: NVIDIA will only offer residual guarantees for strategically aligned projects (e.g., large deals tied to the Blackwell / Rubin roadmap), not as a universal mechanism. Finally, the most lethal point: if 2026–2027 brings an AI inference demand collapse, those gigawatt-scale data centers built on NVIDIA guarantees won't find buyers just because there's a 25% backstop. The guarantee solves per-unit GPU residual value, not the exit challenge of supporting infrastructure. Jensen's bet here isn't that GPUs won't depreciate—it's that AI demand won't decline.
